    Water: Water moderately with tepid water. Provide high humidity. Feed with high quality orchid food according to manufacturer's instructions. Stake stems to support flower spikes which can become too heavy for stems to support.

    Light:Bright diffused.

    Temperature: Santa Maria's delightful climate is ideal for growing Cymbidiums as a patio plant. Cool 65F to 70F degrees during the daytime and 55F-60F degree at night. Best planted as a patio plant. Once spikes develope and begin to show color bring indoors to enjoy the blooming season.

    Purchasing Hint: Buy when 30 to 40 percent of the flowers are open.

    Blooming Life: 4 to 6 weeks depending on environment.

    Problems: Mealy bug, spider mite. Will not flower if they do not receive sufficient light. Mildew can be a problem.
